My idea was centred and created around my song choice, 'It's Been A Long, Long Time'. The song was a recently discovered favourite of mine, which inspired me to use it for my 'smile project.' The aim for this project is to create a video that would make 16-24 year olds smile. As I am in that age bracket I wanted to make something that would make me smile as well as my elder audience. By using my audiences and my own personal research, along with my song choice I came up with an idea that is heart-warming and suit everyone's preference. The Music Video will be about a Husband and Wife coming together after lockdown. This storyline is perfect for the age range and with what is happening in the world today.

To help me understand whether or not the idea would succeed the brief and make my audience smile, I created a Proposal PowerPoint. On a Wednesday Lunchtime, I presented my Proposal to a group of 3 friends. Interacting with my peers, helped me to understand the types of things they expect from my project, and if this idea would work. They explained to me their concerns and I returned the discussion with how I would resolve them. Within this Presentation, I explained exactly how I am going to pull off this project and why it will work perfectly and make people smile.

After my Presentation I asked my friends to give their overall thoughts mainly about my idea. Izzie and Lucy love the storyline and the idea of me making it to fit the 50's Era. Lucy said, 'it would suit the Target Audience's maturity'. I completely agree with this statement, as 20-30 year olds are more likely to be family orientated. Hannah is more focused with the younger side of the Target Audience and is unsure whether she would enjoy the song choice. I understand that the storyline and song may not be everyone's cup of tea and wont make everyone smile. But I have to focus on the majority rather than the small group.
